Hello to all my friends and family, and to all those new friends and family that I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting in the DA community. It's been FOREVER since I last updated this, so bear with me :)
A little about me... I'm a happily married man, with an amazing and talented wife, (mousehmakes). I love her dearly, and though I usually don't think I could ever deserve her, somehow she loves me anyway! <3 As for the afformentioned talents, she's a web designer and computer scientist, as well as an amazing artist in her own right. She is a wiz with a sewing machine, her embroidery is awesome, and her ceramic work is pretty sweet! On top of all that, she's progressing super fast as a digital painter/artist as well. Go check her out!
As for me, besides being a husband, I'm also a thinker, an artist/designer, and a Christian. I'm not perfect at any of those things, but I'm trying and slowly growing in all of them.
Now some other fun facts that make me who I am. I was home schooled, and loved every minute of it (other than the few times I wished that my dad was not the principal). I have graduated from college, and loved my choice of design vocation! It satisfies at once all these parts of my being:
1) my fascination with how things work and especially how humans interact with machines (must read: Donald Norman's famous book- The Design of Everyday Things),
2) my seemingly uncontrollable interest in the tiny details of everything,
3) my love of aesthetics and passion for the truly beautiful (this also relates to my faith... ask me about it, and I may write a journal some time... I will at least try to reply to your post),
4) my love of drawing.
I have an overabundance of hobbies, and love them all, even though I have absolutely not enough time for most them. I love photography, origami, Star Trek, Firefly, criminal investigation shows, Anime, biking, singing, and playing music on the piano and violin (favorite style is traditional Irish session music, if there are any session players out there). DA has been mostly a hobby since I signed up, but perhaps someday it will be a more serious one.

TWO IMPORTANT PIECES OF BUSINESS FOR ALL VIEWERS. First, as I post things up here, please feel free to enjoy my drawings/photos/any kind of art I put up, but please do not use these in your own work without getting permission first. For example, most of my photos are probably fair game to be downloaded, so please feel free, but if you want to use my art as either material or reference for a project, please let me know first. I would like to know where my art is going, and what it is inspiring! Just FYI, I'm a little busy but I'm not a mean guy, so unless a piece is particularly special to me, just wait a little for my answer, and I will likely agree to let you use it.
Second, I really appreciate constructive criticism! I welcome opinionated people to my channel (and their opinions). In fact, while I don't mind some praise, the amount of "praise" that is pored out every single day on DA is almost too much, and even shows up on work that is not that great, so I don't just want happy comments. That said, I would much prefer that criticism given on my art be helpful... not just "This is crappy, how did you take such a crappy photo!"... rather I would prefer something that would help me take better photos, such as "Nice subject matter, but it's kind of a sickly green color. Have you color corrected this photo yet?" Talking to me like this, and treating me like a real person who is trying to improve his art skills, will go along way towards making this an enjoyable and professional Deviant page.
That's all for now... enjoy!
